Brake setup on 282 disks

I've recently changed the brakes on my ek4 to 282/260 mg disks, I also change the calipers to integra ones, I'm suffering from a very long weak peddle, I've read that changing the master cylinder will cure the problem...... My question is do you also need to swap the servor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Also looking for one if anyone has one

Thanks

Yeah upgrade to the 1" MC. you shouldnt have to change the servo. I didnt on the CRX anyway.

Yes you usually need to change the servo, the 1" ones get a bigger servo and the pushrod on the MC is longer to fit this, which will then be too small for the smaller 15/16" servo.

Just realised what i wrote is wrong. Yes you change everything. MC and servo.
The way i worded it was thinking you have MC and servo sitting there, and if you needed to swap them over.

Sorry for confusion

I'm running a 1" MC on mine with an EK4 servo. Not sure what the donor car for the MC was though.

Is the MC for the Prelude the same as from a CTR or ITR? Just curious because they are also running 282 up front

The pushrod is threaded so you just adjust the position of the pedal bracket to suit.

Well, I didn't know that, learn something new every day!

That was the information I got off Honda-Tech some time ago. Maybe it's only true for US models.

sorry for spamming old thread but has anyone who carried out the 282mm brake conversion ever have trouble with calliper hitting bottom of shock fork?i have a pre-facelift ek civic with facelift hubs,CTR callipers and a EJ9 steering rack!when i fully lock wheels the pot on back of calliper is hitting the fork on the bottom of the shock?anyone ever experience this?

Pretty sure the ek9 rack has less lock than the other models, hence why you are experiencing the fouling.
