Was looking into buying the starter pack from hybrid racing

Just which would be better steel or billet mounts??

Also what busings are best for the job they have few to choose from

Ive read a few threads and everone seems to go for the 2.9 driveshafts so thats what il ne gettting

Is there much of a difference between the header in the packsgr or should upgrade to race header?? Or buy a skunk2 header?

The only difference with the billet and steel mounts are the bling factor under the bonnet.

I have the Hazsport mounts with the 70A rated bushes.

For Drivershafts speak to R motion for them to make you up some of their shafts as mine have been perfect for the abuse i have given the car.

I have the Hybrid Race header and its a good design

Unless yor drag racing, use stock ep3 shafts with b series outers.

The swap packages are an expensive way to do the swap IMO.

Careful with steel mounts as most are designed for LHD cars so you need to make a bracket for the rear mount to fit properly... Billet rear mount fits either.

Im going using a rotex supercharger tho with a few other engine mods like cams and bigger injectors

Still stock shafts can handle some power... I've put 380hp through them without issue on a road car with 225 A048's... but add big sticky slicks into the equation tho and yes you may have some issues.

To be honest i probably will be adding slicks for small bit drag racing or track days...il definitely be bring car to nurburg ring once its complete

I've done 2 drag days and one trackday on slicks on ep3 shafts with b series outters and there still 100%. A few months after I done the swap initially I cleaned and re-greased the passenger cv joint as it was starting to knock a little.

Well are the hybrid driveshafts worth the money? Compared to just using ep3 with B series outers...

I will be using dc2 subframe read it gives better clearence and weight distribution

I cannot comment on the reliability of the oem set up, but I used the DSS 2.9, road, trackdays, then racing where they really got tested, they were rock solid. If the oem setup is cheap enough its worth a go depending on what you will do with the car in future, maybe not all about the power but how you like your corners.

I suppose last question would be wheres best place for custom intake for rotex supercharger

i have the hasport billet mounts with the street bushings and they are great all round mounts not to stiff but at the same time can take quiet abit of abuse :nice:

Dont even bother with entry level axles..if its not 2.9 and up dont waste your money..
Like everybody said get some ep3,dc5,fg,prelude, with B series outers and call it a day..
