could someone help me i have a 1999 ej9 and i have a double din surround with all the switches, does anyone know if this is a straight swap, without changing the heater box ect?

I was given a double din radio facia with all the switches and I wanted to swap it with my single din one, but I didn't know If I have to swap the heater box ext?
 
you will need quite a few bits to make it work. As the ej will use cables to operate the heater and the Facelift console uses switches to control the heater. so you would need to swap the heater and get the facelift harness for the console switches. Facelift dash would have different brackets at the rear also.
 
Your car might be a facelift but it doesn't always mean you'll have the facelift heater controls, especially with the EJ. As elchunk stated the prefacelift heater controls use sliders attached to cables. It is quite a big swap but can be done if you have the right parts. Prety sure the dash would need to come out to gain access to most of what is needed. Have seen it in someones build guide, so should come up if you have a search through the forum.
