Im doing a K-swap in my jdm integra and looking into buying a 2nd hand kpro or k100 ecu in order to run the car, now ive come across a k100 and just wanted to know will it be a simple plug and play and will start my car? or will the k100 or kpro have a immobiliser on it? If so whats the way around that if it does have a immobiliser on it?

Also would the ecu have a code on it like set by the person who mapped it and would be able to be unlocked by another mapper or tuner?

Thanks in advance

On kpro you can enable and disable the multiplexor your self
And the map most of the tuners put a lock on their maps, but if you gonna use it for stock motor you can just load any calibration that suits better for your motor...

Some tuners can be iffy about password. On s300 the lock doesn't even allow you to upload any map on the ecu.
I basically gave the intial tuner remote access to my laptop so he could delete it. Then I uploaded Romains map.

I bought used k100 and it had immobiliser on it... so had to get the multiplexer bypass for it to run my kswap EG.

I sent my k100 to romain for a basemap then drove it to him for the final map

If your buying a second hand one make sure 100% its real. I though fakes were only in the US but I had a guy try to sell me a fake one over here
