Toyo t1-r's or yokohama parada spec 2's?

Aren't the rsr's rubbish in the wet?
Their wet rating is pretty poor,

No personal experience of them in the rain but previous owner of my car had them and he was pretty decent in full downpour conditions on track.

Even in the depths of winter at like 2 degrees on track was literally afew spins, but you are pushing yourself and the car on track so.

Way I see it is no tyre can be DANGEROUS in the wet or else they wouldn't pass the various tests they have to pass to be road legal over here.
I've driven r888s in the pouring rain and standing water etc, you just drive to conditions you know?

Yeah I know what your saying
there always has to be some compromise with tyres it's just a case of finding some that have reasonable wet grip with out sacrificing to much dry grip. The rsr are tempting but the ad08's just seem a slightly better choice.

In an ideal world I'd just take 4 spare wheels if doing a track day, one set for dry one for wet,
but in reality id rather just take two spare wheels with me just in case

Honestly I've never worried about using my semi slicks in the rain.
Yeah sure a more suitable tyre can be found but as you say, can't take **** loads of wheels to track lol
Just run whatever wheels your planning to buy for dry weather and if it rains, learn how to drive it in the rain.

I know someone who's run rsr's for years and I've been in many a wet torrential track day with him. I find them pretty good in the wet when they're warm - say on a track day in the wet, but on the road tootling about I skate round roundabouts. Saxo I was in on rsr's when there was standing water on track was easily keeping up with and pretty much passing a 240hp ep3 with r888s and they're both good drivers.
I don't trust mine so much in the wet but im more weary when cus I love my car too much to bin it, but i guess it's common sense to drive to conditions as Jesse said really. I bought mine for £220 or something posted and at that price they're awesome! :D

Sounds good,
I guess on a wet day by the time you've done a couple of steady sighting laps to check for standing water patches you would have some heat in them, much more than you would on the road anyway

Iv got the prada spec 2's I think they are great in the dry but now they have wore a bit they are terrifying in the wet. Some times starts spinning in 3rd when vtec starts on a standard b16a2!
195/50 15

I got t1r not bad for street normal driving
re002 or r1r much stiffer sidewall needed for a type r to corner properly

Out of those two, I'd deffo go for the parada spec 2's, T1Rs don't seem to do it in the wet for me, and they wear very fast

T1rs felt like jelly on my EP3. Just look around, R1Rs, ADO8rs and even R888s can be had for a decent price.

T1r's are the crappiest tyres i have ever driven on so spare yourself the £££'s and dont even look at them. Ad08's are the way to go even though not really cheap tyres!
