Insurance for driving in Europe.

So my renewal is a few weeks away and along with the usual stuff I need covered, this June im going to be driving round Europe for a week or so. Has anyone got any recommendations as to which companies provide good cover should the worst happen while I'm over?? Also any other tips for driving/traveling over there?
