Darren's K24 DC2 build

Bonnet is cool! Nice to see you back in a Honda. Pretty clean shell overall

Good progress dude. You going for a heated front windscreen?

Do they do polly heated front screens? As of yet i dont have any plans to heat the screen at all. Spoke to a few people who have removed their heater and blowers and they dont seem to have a problem so fingers crossed lol

Thanks man, yeah i think honda is where i belong tbh mate, after getting pumped off your ek9 at knockhill i was kinda like "yeahhhh red H for me"

not going to lie i dont acctualy know i didnt realise there was a difference lol im sure its helical but.

Plate diff's have clutch plates like a motor bike clutch and are always locked and only slip when cornering (most people use these for track cars) and helical have gears and worm's I think these are always open until you put power through them, someone else might be able to explain this better!!!

Progress might be alot slower from here on, just had to spend £420 on tures for the daily, and that was cheap off ebay.

Got some parts recently so that first.

Passanger side buddyclub seat rail

Jizzer LOL this is just an engine degreaser for me to clean up all the gunk in the bay and give the engine a rub down before i paint it.

Balljoint remover, this is one of the best £10 i have spent in a long time, costs more than that to feed me at KFC.

Horrible teaser picture, but got some fake fixed backs to keep me planted on the bends.

My ass is just a wee bit too big so will need to walk my pup more, or go cycling more often.

Mishimoto Thermostat because mine was broken when the donnor car ran into.the back of a L200

Also test fitted the mounts and drilled out the holes for the drivers side mount.

Removed my steering rack ready to be sent away to @jesse888 to have the PAS deleted properly.

Next step is to get the gearbox dropped off for internals to be swapped over, rack sent away.

Then to strip down the engine bay and get rid of all traces of rust and give it a fresh lick of paint, same for the inside only it will just be the bits that need it and will paint the cage a different colour like blue or black.

Then after the paint is on i can start building everything back up and fitting the engine.

Nice progress mate!
I'll get that rack turned round in no time!

Ok not a great deal to update but have dropped my gearbox off at triple h performance to have the 5.1 drive, carbon synchros and M Factory LSD fitted.

Now to decide if i am gonna paint the car or not, if i am its going matt nato green.

NATO green? Something different I suppose!
