How to Remove AirCon from your EK9


Ok, I did the under dash stuff today and took some photo's, the only tricky bit is getting the box/fan back in.
Be Careful not to knock the inertia switch like I did.!!!

Glove box out and remove the steel bar pictured ( I put it back in just for the pic)

Pull of the aircon drain

There are several bolts around the edge undo them an remove both the fan and condenser box.
There are 3 plugs. One on the underside of the fan and two which are obvious.The black cable pictured needs to be unclipped once these three are unclipped.
Note the black inertia switch to the right of the picture

Remove both together.

Separate the two there are several screws.

Open up the condenser box and remove. Reassemble the two and refit carefully it is a pain to get it back in but be careful.

I haven't gone through the whole thread so not sure if this info is already here but if anyone needs the A/C bung (grommet) the part number is 91631-SR3-000 it was £8.50 from my local dealership :)
 
Anyone know if there is anyway to get the photo's working on this thread?
