biscuit's facelift EK9

Looks great mate! Are those Ian's old wheels?

Yeah, not a huge amount of tread left, will bang some ad08r on them once they are spent. My civic hardly ever gets used, so will keep for a little longer.

I hate oem ek9 wheels, much better now,

Agree with you on the oem suspension it rides so nice.
If only the arch to wheel gap was a bit smaller from factory

I guess Spoon or Eibach springs would work, but I am totally happy with how it rides now and don't have to crap my pants about the 5Zigen manifold when I see a speed hump.

Few little bits to sort next, baffled sump and new steering wheel as mine is worn badly.

Then I'd say it's done!

Aye nice, they look well!

Ive read so much on new mounts being tue best mod, defo gonna replace mines before car comes back on road. Car looks so cleeean! What size are the tyres atm on the slips?

I've thought about the springs as well in the past. Eibach's seem to give the front down back up effect which I'm not so keen on, and some say spoon springs don't give any noticeable drop

15/50/195 I think.
Engine mounts make a huge difference.

Clean!

lol please remove the tyre paint A$AP, so lame.

Engine bay looks good.

Ordered some new rear ARB D bushes as I forgot to do those when I changed every other rear bush (epic fail).

Got some gunmetal UK dc2 wheels for winter from Dunx.

spoon springs really don't lower the ride I had a set with the shocks stiffened up handling but still looked like a 4x4 I'd go down eibach route if you were looking to drop it a bit

EU and UK DC2 wheels on for winter.

R888's past their best, UK road wise anyway. Will fit some AD08R's in the spring when
The slipstreams go back on.

R u gonna get springs for it then to drop it slightly? Notice a diff with the arb bushes?

Not changing the height, just makes it a pain to drive and they handle well as they are.

Yes the new ARB bushes helped as the old ones we allowing the bar a wobble about.

Day off today, little bit of cavity waxing to prevent any inner arch rust.

Weapon of choice: Bilt & Hamber Dynax S50.
Used it before on my old cars, pretty horrible stuff if you spray it somewhere you don't want it, but fantastic when you get it right. It is runny so it creeps into all the gaps.

Not too many photos, but the rear inner arches, sills, inner rear corners etc all pumped with the stuff.
