DC2 K24 Turbo Project

Sorry no update's at the moment been busy with work, should have some soon:))

Got my new suspension, went for the KW V2's I liked the idea of the stainless steel legs thought it would put up with the uk weather better, also bought a hardrace bush kit and rear camber adjusters & skunk2 front camber arms, just got to get the underside of the car finished so I can put all the suspension back on and try it out:)).

Been busy this weekend sorting out some surface rust on the rear of the car, I removed the rear suspension and fuel tank and it was a lot cleaner than I thought I would be:)).

I used a wire wheel on a angle grinder to remove the surface rust.

I then sprayed the metal with Dinitrol rc900 which is a rust converter it turns the metal black I then had to wait 6 hours for it to set!!

I then sprayed over it with rustoleum primer.

Got back to it on Sunday and covered the primer with stone chip it set's like rubber, I got it off my friend that does body repair, just got to wait for some dry weather to finish it off with black Schultz.

Lol yh leave the red wheels to the porsche. I love that color. Its such a nice shade. Not dark or light

Just finished the rear of the car and cleaned up the fuel tank ready for the new pump.

Good work will be watching this build carefully, did a similar job to my ek9 I took the complete underside and engine bay back to bare metal, was that 230 hp at the wheels or flywheel your h2b setup made? Sounds a little bit low,

Yeah its a lot of work but hopefully when the cars back on the road I can forget about any rust problems!!. I was disappointed with the power 230 at the crank but it had a flat torque curve and was not the far off a e46 m3 to 100mph with a s9b gearbox, only reason for changing it is because I like the under bonnet look of the k swap.
