How it all started away back
How it is now hey im quite new to the forum and just thought id do a quick build thread of what iv done so far. all the work has been done by me and my friends at my work and has been done over the last year and a half
hope yous enjoy reading this thread

started of as a 1.4 ej9 now has the b16a2 from a jordan that was rotten away (rip)
got a cheep set of wheels just to getaway from the stieelies that were on it and i have just never got round to replacing them. nowq got 2 rainsport 3s on the front and prada spec2s on the back as the woren pradas were terifing in the wet!

swaped the front brakes for the mgzs 180 and the rear drums for the ek4 set up. 282mm on the front/240 on the rear. drilled and groved disks with mintex pads all round for now.

the suspention isnt great just ebay special pro sport coilovers they do fine for now. new balljoints track rods +ends and bushes on the front. the rears arms for the brake swap came with lca's and camber arms that were quite new. the main bush on the rears got replaced to.

the b16a2 was all cleaned and new timing belt + tentioner and water pump was all fitted. painted the block and head black ant the rocker cover green . when the engine went it the dash loom had to be changed thats where most of the time went over the weekend went out my first run in it at half 5 in the morning after working through the night

first proper day out to get a good drive a grouse flew out and smashed the windscreen at about 80 on the backroads

had the sparco r333 in before the engine but i now want a change so i have one rred recaro in for now

Clean for once! picked up the new engine in the civic van The head With turbo mani on

The alloys when I first got them and the car still on standard suspension after about a week I sanded them back and painted them black after about 2 months I didn't like the black so I got some white and done them all and the brakes orange at the beginning of this year I was bored with the white and wanted a change so decided on Ford ultimate green. This is when I got some Yokohama pradas spec 2's

Sorry for the jumping about and not being a start to finish thread but got the red recaro in to go with the black and red dash/ddoor cards and dc2 rear seats. Just need the other one now

Some picks of the ek4 brakes just fitted wiwith hella braided lines. The springs from the cheep eBay coilovers looking not to bad after a year

Split the headlights and gave them a quick spray with gloss black. used the oven to sosoffen the seal before splitting and reassembling so there is no condensation wwhen it's raining

cool bin the katanas in my opinion anyway there one of the most awful wheels ever made but if u like em keep em

I hate the wheels but can't justify the money for new ones when I'm trying go get this engine together

Now debating a b16 turbo swap or a fresh ek9 import. Iv got the b16 in bits with the head ready to go bottom end just needing conrod shells :/

You going to track this engine a lot? Probably wise to upgrade the pistons and rods wile your at it.

Nah just a road car with very occasional track use. I'm just going for low power so just leaving the pistons and rods just got new rings and shells. when it goes pop I'll do it then and get more power out it

Finally got all my bits so will start building this weekend hopefully

Got the cylinders all polished up ready to get the new rings gapped

Got my piston rings on Will be building as much as possible of the bottom end tonight

Got the crank and pistons in tonight after some pissing about :/ Bent an oil scraper ring on cylinder 4 due to a prity shity ring compressor

Had team rs round for a wash off today
