Saw you convoying with a CRZ and a Glanza plus a few other cars. Anyone on here?

I passed you in my CW EK9 with a white Corsa VXR on the M5 by Exeter.

Ah so it was! Thanks lol. Always nice to find the owner. Looked well.

Yes that was me! I saw you overtake the CRZ and I was like yesss nine! I got a few txts from others in the convoy asking 'did you just see that white nine???' lol we were on our way to the Ash Sampson memorial gathering on exmouth sea front so it was a somber one :( I've not seen your EK9 about before, are you from here?

Yes! You're near me anyway!
FYI there is always a Jap meet on the first Sunday of each month at Exeter services.

Didn't know that was still going, is it ever any good? (Worth a long drive)?

Usually people show up, more so in summer, but I'm going to pop along this coming January for a bit if any 9 owners fancy it

Lol I saw you a mile off. Well I noticed the Glanza first and then looked further forward. I did wave but you must have missed it haha.

Ah I see! I'd been to visit a friend for the weekend in Newton Abbott and had literally just started my drive home to North Wales, so that will be why you've not seen me :D was nice to see another one though. Only other one I saw the whole way in both directions lol. I had my mate in his VXR with me who made the trip down also, but common as muck them VXRs ;)

As for a Devon meet, I'd be up for it if I was due down there again. As I will be at some point next year doing the same again. My EK9 was actually owned by a guy who lived in Exmouth before I bought it off Dunk at FJC in Reading. So it's like its home down there lol.

Bloody starlet getting spotted, he's just finished forging it, that was it's first outing in months lol! Wow north Wales is a mammoth journey, I went there in October but had to drive my mums CRZ I've never been so bored driving before I missed my nine sooooo much the tunnels were wasted on the Z lol, Devon meet up would be lush as, like you said it's so rare to see real nines, there is another one in Torbay but you can tell it's just a daily it came into work for something a while ago and I had a cheeky look in it, although I haven't seen it for a while now, haha it's home down south love that!
I didn't know about this first Sunday of every month thing sounds cool, is there a cruise on or is it just at the services?

I bought mine from Torbay area a few months ago, it was a daily and in a bit of a mess really,
Most likely the one you've seen.

It's getting a new lease of life now though

Sundays, usually meet up for a bit at the services and then head off to a pub for a drink.
Summer meets we usually go for a drive over the moors or similar, rolling road events etc.
Japanese cars only, FYI.

Ahh I see, nice to hear it's getting a new lease of life, that will be nice to see it looking loved again.

I will have to pop along to the sunday wet sounds so much better than the local meet of crappy saxos and vdubs lol

I'll go of the weather is ok, if it's raining or wet I won't as the bloody salt on the roads just sticks to everything.

Plus I have loads to be doing at home.

Lol it was because he was at the back that I saw him first ;) I do like a Glanza though, bet that's chucking out decent power... Aye it took about 4-5 hours or so. Not too bad, I like driving so it's all good :D

It is rare indeed! I sometimes get asked if mine is a rep lol I'm like "NO!!!" At which point I get my chassis number out to prove it ;) my mate who lives down there has seen you about in yours before too lol. Small world.

Yeah it was kind of funny it was living in Exmouth been as I drive down thst way a few times every now and then. Seems like a lot of EK9's are in the south/South west & then they gradually make their way north to people like me :D

That Sunday meet sounds like my thing, shame Im all the way up here. Went driving on the moors when I was down that weekend. Weather was terrible but still had a good blast! Plenty of twisties to chuck the 9 into!

Bloody salt, hate it. My 9's a daily at the moment until I can get a spare car but need a house first lol. At least it's undersealed though. Washing it over the weekend. It's a different colour, more of a championship magnolia hahaha:angry2:

It will be soon just running it in atm waiting to go to tuning devlopments for the remap, I do like it though it is cool :)

Lols I get asked if mines a Jordan a lot, I do like Jordan's though so I don't mind, recently some guy asked me if it was a 'real' Jordan and when I said no mate it's a real type r, he totally lost interest lols, I used to get the 1.4 treatment all the time when I had my silver nine, my friend at work actually told some dude who were checking it out that it was a 1.4, they said 'but it's got red carpet and seats' my friend replied 'yeah she bought all that to make it look like a type r but it's not' I did think that was really funny though lol! Who's your friend down here do I know them?

Yeah it sounds good to me too never been before so may have to check it out, not tomorrow though as I already have plans. Yep the moores is good fun provided there's no sheeps randomly crossing the road lol! And the nine is the only car I've ever driven that I trust to throw into a corner at speed.

All about that house life! I need to buy one really rent is outrageous lol, my nine will always be my daily I think, I work back at Honda now so I have access to everything he needs. Haha magnolia, mine looks like st orange atm :eew:

Nice! Sounds like it'll be great.

Yeah I'm not surprised by that haha. People I know refer to all yellow EK's as a Jordan. I'm like "no, its a Phoenix Yellow EK9" or whatever lol. It's one of the reasons I bought a white one tbh, not only is it my favourite out of the 4 colours but its unique to the EK9 too, especially with the white on white. Tbh thought I would have one in all the colours at the same time if I could running all different setups lol. 1 standard, 1 charged, 1 turbo & 1 hi comp B18 which I will have anyway in a couple of months :D

Indeed, the EK9's handling is just unmatched by others IMO. Hahaha yeah we saw a couple of sheep, nothing too bad though. Most annoying part was getting stuck behind slow drivers up there but loving it when you can fly past them :D Both my mates who I was with drive Corsa's lol. We all used to have Corsa's but then I saw sense and switched to a real car ;) So I'm the black sheep of the group :x: My mate is called Ollie, owns a black Corsa SRi Turbo.

Yeah I'm going to avoid renting completely, false economy really unless you move around a lot or you really need a place quickly without saving.

I was going to wash mine today but its raining now and still frosty outside :S so sod that. #nocommitment :run:

Well I saw a prefacelift car today, didn't stop and when they left their car sounded a bit ropey!!
