Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing a mostly original EK9 with decently low kilometers on it (203k) but the wear on the steering wheel seems a bit excessive to me. I've included a couple of pictures. Please take a look and tell me if you think it's average or excessive.

TIA

I wouldn't consider 203,000km low mileage :p That looks to me like dried up leather, and I'm guessing harsh sun?

He didn't take care of it anyway. Its neither average or excessive because its not normal wear. Mother-nature did that :p

I'm open to corrections on that, so feel free guys :)

To me this looks just like what it is - a steering wheel from a 15 year old car with 200k km on the clock. At least you know that it did that kind of mileage, I wonder how many miles all these "70k" EK9s really racked up lol.

Thanks for the input guys.

Most of the '96-'00 Civics over here (in the U.S.) have much higher mileage on them. I've been searching for a replacement hatchback for nearly two months now and only a handful that I've came across have 130k miles or less.

Keep the replies and votes coming.
