Hi all,

I haev lost my keys for my EK9 and am at a bit of a loss.

I have called the main dealer - Honda cannot get codes for the EK9.
I have called an auto locksmith to come out and they cannot do anything about it.

Does anyone have any other ideas???????

Thanks in advance.

Regards Nick.

Smash the window.
Obviously you'll need a new window and a lock and key set from any old civic.

Dont break the window..
I dont know how to make a new key but i do know that civics are easy to open...message me if you want me to explain..

Civics can be opened within seconds with the right tools, for the locksmith it should be even easier, find another locksmith if possible..

Screwdriver, or if you know anyone else with a civic try their key, I bought a key fob from ebay and it came with a key from another EK that just happened to be a perfect fit for my car. You can get a barrel and key set from a scrap yard or ebay.

The key from my eg is all worn out and it works on different civics so you might wanna give it a shot with a old civic key...

If you do go down the window smashing route I have a couple front windows, cover postage and it's yours.

If you can bend the top of the door out marginally then hook the inner handle or the boot release with a long wire

I didn't know another civic key would fit either tbh. But isn't the dc2 key the same style aswell?

Basic common knowledge or info that most of us civic owners have gone thry at some point in time..
So there is no secret or magic trick to open a civic...i can do it in less than 5 sec.
Thats why a long time ago i posted what method do i use to protect my car.. ( no alarm, fuel cut, electric cut off, steering wheel bar lock, clutch pedal lock..) none of those methods of protection work..

I hope you get it resolve..

All great information to be posting on a public forum :secret:
I actually think it would be a good idea to delete this once the problem is resolved,
Yes experienced theaving bastards will already know how to get in but I wouldn't want to be giving opportunists tips!
