92 CRX VT

Haha it would indeed but prefer N/a and to do a proper low comp build is fairly expensive lol! Don't get me wrong would love to do it!

Standard internals low boost b16a = 280-300 bhp safely (proven) Just sayin hahaha na is cool tho

I've decided to have a wee side project in the form of the next gearbox for the car!

It started with a spare cable Y2 I had that was extremely dirty so stripped it down and cleaned it all up in the parts washer at work came out gleaming! Ready to be assembled but then I realised I had a lsd from a S80 sitting in my garage and decided to try and fit it to the cable gearbox! Found that ribs in the gearbox stopped it fitting correctly so had to smooth them off before going any further

Before:

After:

Then I test fitted the diff into the casing after the modification had been done in have no ring gear for the diff at present so had to fit without! Going to try for a 4.7 final drive in the cable box

Then fitted the top casing and fitted perfect!

And here is a comparison with the open standard diff and the lsd

I'm looking for a CRX. My mate is on his 3rd and between my mates we have 7 of them.
One of them has a K20 swap. Mega cars.

Yeah they are cool cars wanted one for ages so decided to go for one! :)

You will need the input shaft to go with the 4.7 ring gear.
CRXUK has all the info you need for these cars.

Countershaft you mean.
If I remember correctly the bolt pattern for the ring gear is different on the cable boxes, and I think the countershaft is different.

Aye whatever one goes with the ring gear☺
I think you are correct as well with the bolt PCDS.

Yeah you need the countershaft to go with the ring gear the lsd ring gear has a larger internal diameter and pcd compared to the non lsd

Think I'll try and take the input shaft from a S80 also to be able to run a hydro clutch as the diameter of the splined section of the shaft is larger

As it is used both shafts I'll be able to make the box as short as possible with oem gears

Set underway with today's task of setting the valve clearances as it was a bit ticky well very ticky

Got them set so oem spec and the engine sounds brand new so pleased with it doesn't sound like a 1.2 corsa anymore

^^^ Cool likin the mods to the box very interesting.

Cant wait to see how this car is when its finished :)

Got my new seat fitted but found one of the bolt holes threads weren't too good so had to re-tap the hole to take a larger bolt! All sorted now so mounted solid :)

Another problem lately was my tailgate hinge seized and snapped and couldn't find a replacement apart from ones at crazy prices so decided to Weld it and free it off and has worked a treat!

Also fitted Polybushes for the shifter to compliment the K-tuned shifter shift feels even better now just need to replace the bush for the pivot ball in the shifter stabiliser to eliminate as much play as possible to get the most direct shift feeling possible!

No update on the gearbox as of yet still trying to source a final drive!

Soooo... 4.7fd can't be fitted in a cable box! Raging to say the least was hoping it would and save me from doing a hydro conversion but hay ho not everything goes your way haha!

Cave the car a quick clean and got some pooie phone pics when I was out on Saturday night!

As you can see not the best pics but the best I can do haha and you've got to share something lol!

How is the k-tune shifter? I was looking at getting one for my siR. Also are you selling that unbranded seat?
