anybody know where i can find a step-by-step thread on how to remove and replace the front slam panel on an ek civic?

It's rivet welded in place. If you have the equipment you don't need a how to, and if you don't have the equipment you won't be able to do it anyway.

I looked to do it myself recently as the bits are for nothing. Unless your proficient with a welder I wouldn't bother.

Few people just said its drill out the spot welds and it will come off handy enough after that,

It will definitely come off, just keep drilling the spot welds until they are all gone. Best to use a spot weld remover or blunt drill bit though so you don't go through both pieces. But unless you can spot weld it back on then I'd probably leave it there.

cant leave it unfortunatly.. it got a bit of a tip on the front and the top crossmember is slightly bent, its wrecking my head so needs to be changed ha

Ha ha...I've just hammerited mine as there was a few bits on it. when mine next goes in for any work I'll definitely get them to replace it!

yeah i was thinking of just getting the proper honda approved body shop to change mine over the summer when the cars getting sprayed.. seems like a smarter idea now thinking about it haha

pulling off the old one is the easy bit! unless you know what you are at refitting the new one, you will end you with badly fitting lights, wings and front bumper!
