Hi guys, im fitting a 22mm ek9 rear sway bar to an ej9 1996 civic. i have everything i need but the brackets dont seem to match up with my subframe, the distance between the centres of the holes on the subframe is about 45mm but the distance between the holes on the brackets for the sway bar are about 67 or 68mm. will an ek9 sway bar not fit an ej9 subframe or do i need a subframe brace or something to make it fit?

You'll need a ASR subframe brace or a whiteline one. I believe whiteline does a brace and a bar package deal. I'm not sure if they do the brace seperately. If you fit the bar without a brace, there's a high chance you will tear the subframe.

will the asr subframe carry the standard 22mm ek9 bar with the original brackets so i could fit the bar i allready have?

Yep, the roll bar brackets will work with the asr brace, it's best to order new ones from Honda as sometimes second hand one's can be bent. They're not too expensive brand new, £12 or less each if I remember correctly. When I fitted my asr brace I bought poly bushes and new brackets at the same time
