Just fitted a set of 16x7.5 et 35 wheels with 205-45-16 continental sport contacts to my ek4, the handling is scary and bordering on dangerous, tramlines, bad bump steer, hooks and pulls under acceleration and just generally feels crap

Car handled spot on on my previous wheels (vti fans with 195-50-15s)

Running bc coilovers, hardrace camber arms front and rear, hardrace front bushes, oem trailing arm bushes, rear toe adjusters and skunk2 rear lcas, had a full 4wheel alignment done a few weeks ago

Struggling to see why a wheel change would affect the handling as much

Any ideas on restoring the handling without swapping back to the fans?

Are you running the shocks fairly stiff? Maybe worth softening them up a little if they are.

I had noticed a big change recently when swapping the wheels over with very similar sizes. I don't have any bad tramlining though. The ride for me is a lot stiffer due to the shorter tyre profile not having as much give in it. This is why I am suggesting adjusting the shock stiffness.
