Does anyone know if the blue hats on ID 725cc injectors should fit AEM rail? They fit the OE rail but are too big to fit into the AEM?

hello buddy, yes they will fit, my friend has the blue hats and they fit fine

Thanks mate. I'm starting to question the authenticity of my aem rail!

Ah yes, hadn't thought of that. Could be the rail! The injectors are the real deal. I had an AEM rail that I bought brand new from funkypower. Never thought to try and put them in it though. Sorry I cant be of more help mate, hope you get it sorted!

I have blue hat 725 injectors and tried to install them into my new aem rail but it was just not going to happen. I tried forcing them a little bit but it just started to split the seal.

I ended up drilling the rail mate to open the holes a little bit. I think I went up to 11.7 mm there or there about.

Thanks rob, I will look into getting it drilled out. Also what is the standard fuel pressure on a B18c4? So I can set my regulator?

Use some vaseline on the injectors to fit into the rail? No way id put them in dry. To much risk of ripping the seal.
Also has anyone actually measures the difference in bore size between the stock and AEM rail?
Drilling it out isnt the best thing to do. You need a good surface finish in there for the rubber o-ring to seal.

Just did my injectors yesterday, hayes manual states to coat all seals in clean engine oil before fitting. Although my injectors were just oem, you could give it a try

Honestly it's such a tight fit. I never tried to install them dry but you can feel it nip up as tries to go in further.

The oem rail has a curved entry which guides the injectors in, the aem one is just a straight cut hole which has a sharp edge for splitting injector seals.

I used Vaseline on mine but the diameter of the hole in the rail was nearly the same as the diameter of the hat itself. As in no clearance at all. But I'm positive my rail is a genuine fake. No issues with leaks after drilling though.

I've not got much experience with this(always ran stock regulator) but I think 38 is the lower part of the range on idle.
38-46psi is what I'm finding online with the vacuum line connected.
Aonghus is your man for this one for sure!

I will get some pictures of my rail and box so we can determine if mines a fake too.
