Power Window Problem

My passenger side power window doesn't work. The EK9 was imported last week, and it never worked since picking it up from the docks.
I got a new motor from a scrap yard, plugged it in and... Nothing! So I figured that motor was a dud. I bought one from someone breaking an EK who assured me it worked, so I plug that in and... Nothing!
I have checked the fuses and they're fine, I have checked that there is power to the switch and plug and there is.
There is no reason why the motor wont work that I can think of?!
I'm sick of seeing my '9 with a bin bag over where the window should be.
Can anyone shed any light onto what is wrong? All the motors couldn't be duds could they? Does the motor need to be fully bolted in to work, or should it show signs of life after just plugging it into the connector?
I've run out of ideas!

Update:
Just connected the motor ditectly to the battery and it works, so I know the motor works... But why not when it's plugged in?!
