Had my DC2 a little while now so here's a quick rundown of what i've done until now. Bought the car from Jake last year, it had a nice spec already and was pretty much ready to hit a track.

- 98 spec JDM with engine and gearbox recently rebuilt
- Mfactory carbon synchros
- Cusco 1.5 way diff
- Baffled sump
- GReddy oil cooler
- Tegiwa carbon airbox
- Tanabe Medallion Exhaust and decat
- Innovative 60A engine mounts

- Eibach spings on OEM dampers
- Full rebush with hardrace/ powerflex kit
- Accord type R 300mm twinpot front brakes
- Yokohama Ad08R tyres

First things first. Coilovers. I did a fair amount of research and decided on these...

Eibach multi-pro r2. I wanted a good amount of adjustment as I would be developing the car over the next few years, and it would mostly be for trackdays so the spring rates will be fairly high! These came in at a good price for the spec so I got them ordered.

Fitted Project Mu pads, HC800 Fr NS400 Rr along with some freshly refurbed ATR calipers and new discs

Got hold of a Spa Design digital gauge to keep an eye on water temp and oil pressure.

Then it was time for a trackday... Rockingham international with the Northloop forum. Had a great time, the car performed brilliant!

So something exciting came in the post this week!

Woooooo!!

Out with the old

Sorted.

Just need to get the alignment done, might raise the front a touch first. Haven't really driven it properly since fitting them yet but from a brief test drive they ride bloody lovely, very nicely damped but very firm at the same time as to be expected with the spring rates im running. Looking forward to putting them through their paces on track!

Another pic of it a bit cleaner

The Eibach remote reservoirs in place.

Then it was time for Mimms at Rockingham, wasn't actually planning to go out on track because I hadn't had the chance to get the wheel alignment done or made any adjustments to the dampers! But I couldn't help myself.

I eventually got the time between work to get the car squared up. Front toe as was 1.8 degree out! No wonder it wasn't turning great at rocky

And this is what I came out with... much better.

Nice heard the r2s leak so didnt get them in the end

Next up was another trackday, this time at Snetterton 300. What can I say? Epic track. Met up with a few more northloopers and a couple of Honda scene kids Danny James and Adam Ivell were in the garage next to me so thought it would be good to introduce myself! Danny got some footage following me which was cool.

The car was going great and handling lovely with the new geo, had a few laps with my mate Matty in his E36 trackcar which he filmed also...

Safe to say, I was now feeling it was time for more upgrades!

Bought her some new shoes!

16x8 & 7 Volk gtp-a. The offsets turned out to be a little lower than advertised though so the arches would be needing work! No sweat.

Put some decent meat on them, also staggered with 225/45 F 195/50 R

Then it was time for the bodywork to have some tlc. Front arches pulled a touch and rolled, and the rears rolled, both sides painted and the front bumper tidied up

Fitted my Corbeau bucket seat on a Pci seat rail

She was looking pretty fresh at Mimms, this time no track time though

Next up was the cage. Decided on a Safety Devices bolt in because I wanted to retain some interior. Very pleased with the fit, sits nice and tight to the pillars (very unlike other bolt ins)

I had it fitted by Cam at SaloonLibre, he also welded in the harness eyebolt plates. Top job!

We're nearly upto date. I was feeling the need for more power so the inevitable K20 swap was looking likely. I then decided I wanted to keep the originality of the B18 so started looking at tuning options.

Then I came across something interesting on Pistonheads.

A Harewood hillclimb championship winning Dc2 with a fruity B18 built by RaceDNA. Looked good and sounded perfect, so went to view it. 2 weeks later it's outside my house.

Really nice teg this is! How do you find the coilovers for track?

Cheers Matty. Very pleased with them so far, build quality is top notch and they're superb on track. I haven't done a trackday since fitting the cage or r888s so can only expect them to perform even better now! I have a few different sets of springs to experiment with aswell as some fancy eibach camber arms to whack a few more degrees up front. Should be pretty epic.

Nice build! I like the sound of those coilovers. I've always been a big fan of eibach.

Where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking?

Lovely new shoes for the teg, Liking the build so far keep us updated!

They were special order from the states, ordered through pumaspeed. Expect a 12+ week lead time!

Cheers. Lots of updates to come in the next month, when I get both cars in the new unit!

Nice build, I've got pretty much the same spec safety devices cage in my ek9
That race Dna b18 sounds interesting, what's been done to it and what sort of power is that putting out?

Oh cool, yeh it's a nice spec cage perfect for the club sport style trackcar I think.

The engine is something else, unlike any B series I've come across. It's got the torque and usability of a k20 but also the aggresive nature of a b18c. It's making 249 bhp and 165lb/ft of torque. Revs clean to 9500 but pulls well from any revs

Sounds good, some really special work must of gone in to building that engine!
