Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Going to motor factors in afew minutes to see what they've got, want to get it done today ideally...

So I got myself a new tool yesterday, much better design and pulls out much better flares.
After I got all the lines on we did a quick bleed up and found afew leaky joints, reflared them and now I can put full body pressure on the pedal without any leaks so we should be good to go.
P clipped the now sealed joints down and put my seat back in.
Finally it's back on its own wheels and road worthy!

Love the build! Just out of interest what tool did you use in the end?

This is the tool I've now got, still a knack to get a good flare but much easier with this over the old tool.

Noticed I've got a puddle of water in the drivers footwell. Haven't had time to investigate but any ideas?
Want to get the interior painted up aswell and was thinking of anti-slip paint in the footwells?

Ah cool, I've used a Sykes Pic tool before they are pretty good but pricey.

Sounds good, have you seen that paint they use on pickup truck beds? That would be ideal for antislip, can't remember the name of it though.

I noticed in your latest picture you don't have any door apature seals? Water could be getting in due to that?

The seals are on the doors on these civics. I've ran an ek9 like this before with no issue but I'll look into that anyway just incase

Yeah I was thinking truck bed paint, wondering black if black is going to look abit naff. Grey might look better.

Ah fair enough, could be an number of things. Dry it out and sit inside with a torch and get a mate to spray suspect areas with a hose.

Yeh black might be a bit garish.
Sounds a bit Heath Robinson, but I'm sure you could get a white textured paint made up with some sort of grit & adhesive?

This is what I was thinking of! When they use it on boats etc.

Hope this helps

Yeah I had a look on there, they do a white bed paint aswell.
Stripped cars I've had in the past have been abit dodgy with wet feet getting in and out so want something anti-slip.
Plus the texture could help keep the glare down on sunny days over a smooth shiney surface.

Budweg iirc, off of eBay.

These ?

I bought sliders off these guys for my calipers and they never fit , they refunded me and all but weary buying stuff off eBay when they don't fit lol

Bought the dc2 ones as advertised and they were slightly larger , seller said they fit ep3s so should fit dc2, I'm sure that's incorrect .

Anyways if these are what you're using and you succeeded with the kit I'll just purchase

I only rebuilt the front calipers mate.

Its what both me and my brother used. I started wearing through the heel of my race boots lol

Had a look, can be had for like £3 lol
Then it's just a simple paint of interior job to freshen it all up.
Think that's what I'll do.

That's another decent idea. Cheaper aswell I would of thought.

I used grip tape this year. Worked really well, and cheap as chips.
It needs replacing though as it gets ragged, so i put gaffer tape down on the area first. The tape adhesive sticks to the gaffer but doesn't leave residue so easier to swap

Top tip! Thanks for the help guys!
