Hi all
My bumper has really been annoying me it's not lining up right at all. Any body have any suggestions. Iv tried pushing or up but it just doesn't want to.
Could it be that the bumper isn't genuine

Maybe it's just the angle but I think your headlamp doesn't sit quite right? take it off and check the support under the headlamp.

No the headlamp doesn't really fit snug to the wings and both are genuine. iv had the it off and the black support is fine moved it up a bit

I think so I moved the adjustable black braket below the headlight up as far as it could go.
Here's a picture of the front

A couple of things spring to mind. Is your slam panel straight? If that has dropped forward then that would drop the front edge down like that. If you undo the screws underneath can you bring them forward and relocate them as that will tilt the front edge up. Lastly, where you are dipping there is a little tab on the wing itself. This can stop the bumper sitting flush. Ive got non gen everything on mine(admittedly new), and with some playing around mine is about spot on

Ya the slam panel looks to be fine. I think I'll have to take off the bumper and lights tommorow and have a look at everything. As you said a bit of playing around should do the trick

Hows things. Just wondering did you sort out your bumper problem as i have the same proble. As you. Cherrs

I actually didn't. I know it's lazy just didn't really get the chance to take it and try straighten everything up

Very handy to put right, you just need to adjust the support brackets ,10 minute job give or take a few

Paul's right,
On your crash bar you have 3 bolts holding it on either side. Play about with them and that may sort your issue

could be the wings have been raised up with washers to meet the level of the hood. I assume its a carbon bonnet? Seen quite a few of these sit higher than oem.

The hood is leaning towards the driver side, there is a huge gap between the hood and the headlight on passenger side but tight at the driver side. Same thing on the gap between fenders and the hood.

Make sure you have genuine parts to begin with, the fenders don't look oem to me.

What year is your car? Make sure you get the facelift parts if conversion was done. The bumper brackets under the headlights and fender brackets near the headlight are different on 99-00.

Thanks.
It's a 98 facelift, and the wings are oem unless honda sold me copies ha.
Don't know if the bumper is genuine but I don't mind as ill be getting rid of it soon for one without fogs

I can tell right away whether your wings are oem or replica if you show me this angle of your car. This particular one is replica.
