Ek4 trouble


I bought a working iacv and fitted it myself I've done all the work myself just left it to the mechanic for a fresh set of eyes looking at it I cleaned my old original iacv out and sprayed wd40 in it and let it sit in it for a few days and going to clean it out again and try it with the battery thanks so much for all the help and advice would be stuck without it
 
The car never really gets a good run now as I work literally about 6 mins from the house
 
I've cleaned the throttle body and iacv with cleaner but she will be up the rpm some night don't like driving it too hard tho I no they can take it but you know what I mean
 
No new panel filter in it have an has panel filter as well pretty dirty best way to clean was thinking of hot soapy water am I right
 
Hi I have a 98 ek4 a few weeks ago I noticed that when the throttle is pressed about a quarter of the way that the car seems the hold back as if I'm driving with the foot brake on so I ran a test by bridging the terminals at the ecu and the engine light flashed 7times. so Googled the fault code and came up as the throttle position sensor so it has been changed, the map sensor, fuel filter, leads,and plugs any other ideas of what the problem could be? The car is driving fine when the throttle is engaged half way or over and is pulling well and vtec kicks in as normal I'm baffled was thinking would the dizzy cause this.
I had this problem lad changed everything from new coil leads plugs sensors so on and I put it down to ignition been off and bad petrol ?
 
Ignition is grand and that's what my mechanic said that he found traces of water in my fuel tank and that one of my injectors could be sticking so I've bought a new set of injectors. Did the problem go away on your car
 
Was a pain in my bollox so it was lad I didnt change my injectors but I did yous loads of different fuel types and injector cleaners and touch wood it has stopped for now
 
I got a new pcv valve and injectors so I'll fire them on and see what happens. It only fucks about when it's warm it's strange
 
Idle is deadon now I'm using denso plugs ones listed for the car I changed the pcv valve and it was dirty and not moving
 
When I come to think of it the radiator fan doesn't come on as often as it used to could the ect be linked with that. When I remove it will the coolant piss out
 
Thermostat is relatively new what screw is that please tell me it's not the brass one at the face of the tb
 
No never touched that I'm beginning to think that this could have been my problem all along
