Just a quick word of warning - as I've been getting ready to get my half cage bolted in I decided to check out the few suspicious bits of swelling along where the floor is spot welded to the sill. Sadly I never took a before picture, but other than a little bit of swelling and couple little rusty spots it didn't seem bad at all, that is until I hit the factory sealant covering the seam with my die grinder. In the corner, where there's plenty of sealant there was no indication of any rust yet the grinder went right through! The picture below shows the extend of the damage. I'm just welding it up, it ain't gonna be pretty but if will be just as strong (if not stronger) than before, but I thought I'd give you a heads up guys so you can check your cars. The area is well hidden by carpet and sealant from the top and usually undersealed at the bottom (like my car was) so you might think all is in order until you start poking around. And don't think that if you look after your car this doesn't apply to you, I bought the shell from @ramboteamjon whos care of his vehicles borders on OCD and I'd buy a car from him even without seeing it in person any time!

I encountered the exact same issue when stripping my shell back, but however every single car will suffer this as you've said since this is how it left the honda factorys. Mine hadn't rotted any in that position but it was clear where the floor pan meets the rear boot section there is no metal covering the corner, they just gob it full of silicone. Something everyone will have to watch for.
