Hi all, got this a few weeks ago, it's completely standard with 77k miles on the clock. It had been sitting in an elderly mans driveway for over a year and I'll be saving it! Only 6 months until I turn 17 so I should hopefully have it ready for this time next year. This will be my place to keep everything together!

It was from these 3 pictures I decided it was worth a look.

The advert on Facebook wasn't very detailed but I went to view anyway. After my dad checked the car over and simply said "Aye it's not bad", a deal was made and the car was to be dropped off the following morning!

First of all we had the task of clearing a space for it, my Uncle's Vectra GSi had been sitting here for almost 6 years so we finally got it out.

After that was out, my car had arrived!

Parked up in it's new home

Here's the moment where OCD kicked in and I decided to take the interior out to "clean it up"

Before I get my bumpers resprayed I thought I'd try to make the car look a little more presentable

From this...

To this!

After what felt like weeks away from my car, I continued working on it (2 days later)

I noticed there were bugs inside the number plate light holders which really "bugged" me ahah, It also gave me an excuse to upgrade the lights to LED's

Bought a USDM recess for my car so thought I'd get prepared to get it on.

Once I took the oem recess off I was greeted by this mess

But.... it cleaned up nicely

Got my "coupe" USDM recess dropped off

I found out this was made for a sedan, I was pretty gutted and felt angry that I had been so stupid and didn't test fit before buying it. However the guy who sold me it has been VERY helpful and is currently sorting it out

Decided to do something productive rather than cry over spilled milk. Interior coming out!

It hoovered up not too bad surprisingly

Still a bit of a mess in the back but I'll get round to sorting it out

Was slightly scared to take this to the carpet to get it out

Managed to get it out and I temporarily put my drivers seat back in

Got my headlights restored until I can get EK9 ones!

Got round to cleaning up little bits which make a big difference. Firstly it was the number plate light holders.

Before....

During....

After! Ready to dry off.

Everytime I was at the back something caught my eye, the green mould growing in the tail lights.

Took them out in preparation to clean them up

I made up a bucket of fairy liquid and wash and wax to let the lights soak in overnight. This softened the mould and allowed me to blast it all out with the pressure washer.

Aaaaaaand.. Done!

Made the boot key hole chrome again too.

Before...

After

Since I was upgrading the outside lights to LED's why not do the inside too? Started by cleaning the inside of the cover.

Was time to take the ugly plate holder off too. What a pain in the ass that was lol

Before...

After!

A pic with another coup, wish it was mine

Decided this carpet was too far gone after jet washing it and achieving nothing

Recess got cleaned up, new plate ready to go on.

Looks so much better now!

Since my lights were nice and clean now I thought it was time to re seal them to prevent leaks.

My LED number plate lights arrived so got them in.

When screwing the holder back into the boot, I managed to drop the FINAL screw down the back of the recess. Of course only I could do that. I would have left it but whenever I closed the boot I could hear it rattling around.

obligatory "I hate my car" pic

Here's the offender!

Got the recess back on, time to show off my lights.

I think they may be slightly bright

New LED reverse lights

These are also a little bright

Time to start cleaning my interior properly since this thing made an appearance up here in Scotland

Started like this, not too bad.

Sprayed with G101 and left to soak in

Bucket of fairy liquid and G101 prepared

The result after one pass of the mixture applied with a microfibre...

Hoovered up and ready to go and dry!

Boot liner was disgusting so I had to do something about it.

Before....

During...

And all of the bits drying in the sun

Can't see very well but this was the colour of the mixture when I was done

Thought I'd wash the car too since it was a nice day. Comes up well.

All you Coupe owners will know why i done this... To remove all the dust between the window and third brake light.

With my brother's old TDi North tuned 245BHP EP3. Missed it so much!

Short Shifter arrived. It's so heavy, impressed with the quality.

I've had this Studio448 sticker longer than the car, but new vinyl went on! In love with it, so glittery!

Also had a couple of 6two1 stickers kicking about so I put them to good use.

Broadway 300mm convex mirror arrived so got it on. Makes a big difference!

Before...

After!

Since 70% of my interior was out and I bought a short shift, it was time to replace my busted leather gaiter with a suede red stitched one

Muuuuuch better

Rob from hondas.in.south kindly sent some stickers up to Scotland, need to fit them asap!

Had time to fit my short shifter, here's a before...

And an after!

Boring but I gave it a service

Colour of the oil makes me sick

The air filter wasn't any better...

Spark plugs may have been past it lol

Just making sure my LED's were still working lol

Went to Dumfries to get some bits from @AlexEKnine on here

Firstly, a nice black carpet to replace my mingin grey one

Got that cleaned with apc, fairy liquid and car shampoo

Ready to dry!

Only took a day thanks to the sun :) came up very well

Also got his VTi dials as I wasn't a fan of my oem dials, theme is red and my dials were blue.

Old ones

And my VTi ones

My cousin operated on them while I valeted his daily

He kindly wrapped the surround in Carbon Fibre style vinyl

We done the mod where the dials light up red however it didnt turn out very well :(

Anyway I decided to start work again. Started the day like this -

Black carpet was put in first. Big difference, looks classy!

EK9 cupholders installed with the new suede gaitor and centre console. Missed having an armrest! Sorry about the snapchat picture I was too excited to get a proper one lol.

Last but certainly not least, I got myself some Recaroooooooos!

Cleaned them with the usual apc, and a microfibre soaked with fairy and shampoo lol. Here they are soaking up some sun.

Got one fitted, excuse the mats they're only temp so I don't ruin my carpet.

Both fitted. Probably my favourite mod so far, they sit so low and they're comfy af.

Spot the difference...

EP3 steering wheel :) Need to get it retrimmed now!

That's all for now. I'll try to keep it updated but there won't be much going on until next year.

Coupe is looking good man! Can't wait to see what else you have planned for the car..
