A Civic

Did you check the valve guides? They wear and allow the valve to move side to side. New seals won't help this issue.
If you need a Bseries tune and your on Hondata I can do a road tune for you cheap. Atleast you can get close to max out of your current setup whilst saving for K that way.

Not checked the valve guides actually, well the rocker is coming off for a replacement in a week ,could have a nosey around the top end and see if any things worn and within tolerance.

I've actually never driven or been in a boosted B tbh so I shouldn't comment on driveability, one of the main reasons for k swap though and maybe a stupid reason is the shifter from k tuned lol.

They do B shifters...
Unfortunately head needs to be off.

I like the mechanism and cable shifter opposed to the old linkage that isn't as accurate haha.
I had a feeling the head would need to come off, it's already been off twice for head gaskets so I'm not prepared to do that again just not worth my time since k swap is more than likely going to happen.

Pain in the ass people who use the wrong bolts to fit lips annoy me.

Every bolt rusted on so out came the dremel as you can see here , and I tried every other way before this to get it off.

One side I had to cut the head off and round it so it pushed through, other side as you can see I had to cut a notch in the lip, no biggie though since it'll need to go in for paint so I'll get him to filler and fibreglass the bad parts.

This one snapped off with ease

Since no MOT and a fuel leak it's been recovered to the unit for some work.

And look what I found whilst we got it on the ramp

An oil leak

Any ideas where it could be from ? Only had a quick look, looks like the sump, can't see anything above .

Breather box and oil filter are both above that area.

Oil filters dry, breather box didn't look wet either. The sump nuts are soaked in oil and it looks like I've somehow lost 3 sump nuts and bolts but it's not wet on the side they've fell out from lol. No idea how they went missing but good thing I've stopped driving when I have otherwise I could of trashed the engine if the sump decided to drop off.

Should have a better look tomorrow though , can't run it until I've sorted the leaking fuel line though.

Mine was leaking out of the driveshaft seal and running down the driveshaft. Similar thing could be happening to yours.

So I had a job interview in Leicester so needed to get on the road quick so bought this off a good friends and one day insured it.

About two weeks later or less ...

Sold on. Would of kept it because it handled well for just d2 coils, quietness was sort of nice and better on fuel than the b series however my insurance couldn't get me on a two car policy. Could of changed cars over but I still wanted the main insured so off it went today.

Do like those ktuned pressure gauges, they look real good quality?

Correct haha. I am, I've always said if I start the K swap, the shifter will be my first purchase, not cheap by any means but well worth it.

Brand new because I couldn't find any used ones. Must thank Htune as usual supplying me with the best parts.

So guess the K swap is happening, part by part when they pop up.

Fresh rear brakes in no time now. New calipers , new fluid and now new hand brake cables since they've been bodged together by whoever put the swap together in the past.

As always, thanks to the lads at JSP, didn't even know they got despatched and they turn up the day after ordering.

While I'm unable to get to the unit because I've snapped my bmx chain LOL

Dan has started up the intake piping

oh hello civic, I see you

miss driving the thing so need to get a new bmx chain so I can get back to work.

K tuned shifter is the dogs ! I think that alone is worth the swap ,
Fair play man , looking forward to seen this build

He's finished the intake, looking good just needs wrapping with my gold heat tape.

Cold air feed still needs mocking up and the heat shield putting on but I need to get some black paint for the shield before irs properly fitted.
