TDM Header (Hytech Replica)

Ok guys, I installed the header, fitting was not a issue, it cleared a/c and p/s without any problem.

The big problem I found is that the 2.5" outlet hangs just too low, so there is a big gap when connecting this header to the exhaust, this means there is a leak there. I'll fix it at the muffler shop, I'll have to talk to them and figure out how to correct this, it is not a difficult fix for the muffler shop guys.

Check out this photo, I added some comments with the issues in the photo:

Other than that, the header is awesome, it really do the job, I paid 10 $ for the header fitment at the muffler shop, I don't know If I got a "defective" header, I really don't think so, this is a replica, and you will have to deal with this type of issues when you buy "copies".

I think I'll have to pay around 25 $ at the muffler shop to fix this. In other countries I think this type of work should be very expensive.

I think header clearance is not that bad, keep in mind I have oem ek9 suspension.

This is how they look after being used for over 80 km :nice:

The only issue I found in this header was connecting it to the rest of the exhaust, other than that I'm very happy with the purchase, in my country this issue is a easy fix and not expensive, but keep in mind this if you buy this header.

how bigs the gap rvm ? guess you can get shop to weld extension piece onto your exhaust or if gap big then have tiny connector made up

yours is different to mine, my header runs right under the sump so ground clearence is an issue on normal roads on mine but your looks prety good

Any difference on the butt dyno?

Right now I really can't give you feedback on this, but the car feels that it revs faster hehe and the vtec sound is awesome :) , I don't feel that the car has a "restriction" while accelerating.

Right now I have the hondata ecu installed, but I need to tune it, thats why I have the rev limit to around 7000 RPM as a precaution, since I can be running lean right now :nerv:

the problem is that the header exhaust pipe hangs just too low, I have to find a way to make it fit correctly , I'm going to make a custom "light weight" 2.5" catback exhaust, and I'm going to fix this issue, I will post some photos

good job rvm looks like a good fit and ground clearance for a coppie. thats good you feel gains already be interesting to see the gains on the dyno

I`ve noticed that from where the λ sensor housing is, it`s taking readings just from two cylinders and not all four as it should be. Have you checked your emissions after installing the header? Have you noticed any changes through the data logger of the S300?

I have had one for 8 years no problems with it. The only thing I've noticed is that it rust other then that's it has held up.
