Here are some Basic guidlines when posting in the "For Sale" section

ALL Sellers (This includes Donators and Vendors)

1. The For Sale section is provided for the benefit of individual members to buy and sell items.

It is a priveledge that is earned and requires a minimum of 250 posts regardless of status. ANY user found to be randomly posting which appears to be an attempt to reach this limit will have there post count reset and a 7 day ban issued.

You are required to create your feedback account into the Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum before you begin selling. This prevents people from abusing the site by only joining up to sell.

Businesses are not allowed to use the For Sale section unless they have Trader status. Please contact RVM.

2. Please post pictures this will enable the sale to be more successful! Be aware that no pictures or pasted pictures from google could very well be scammers that will take your money for items they may have no intention of posting or even have in the first place!

3. For sale template, if this is not followed it will deleted, you will find a note next to your original post as to what is wrong with the thread. ALL members must follow this due to recent abuse and deception.

Item for sale:
Reputation: (Post a link to your reputation thread)
Price:
Paypal:
Location:
Condition:
Description:
Pictures:

Copy, paste and fill in, simple!

Paying for items by "paypal gift" is a ridiculous concept, it is not "payment" it is a "gift". It is not a loophole or a neat way of getting round paypal fee's...it is plainly and simply "gifting" someone money and no items should be expected in return.

The seller or buyer should pay the fee's, and ensure you pay for some recorded delivery makeing some effort to protect yourselves.

So in short:

You can no longer advertise "Paypal Gift" as a method of payment in your for sale adverts. If you do, the advert will be deleted.

If you the buyer, choose to use a gift payment via private messaging to pay for your goods, you do so at your own risk.

4. Users must not have more than 3 active threads open at any one time. Please do not list all your items in separate threads!

Buyers

1. Offers and any comments that may affect a sale should be made privately via pm, if you think it may disrupt someones sale or not benefit other members then say it via pm to the seller.

2. First come first served basis applies.

BOTH

EK9.org is not responsible for any items bought or sold that do not meet your expectations. For this we recommend that both the seller and buyer use paypal as a form of protection and to allow disputes to be resolved. Failing that buy and sell at your own risk.

When the transaction is complete please leave the seller and the buyer some feedback in the Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum this will enable future buyers to gauge the type of seller they are and hopefully help the transaction.

We will update and amend these rules as and when needed, its your responsibility as a seller to check and make sure you are on the ball.

Please help the mods out by reporting any posts not following the rules or template so it can be ammended.

This will help make the for sale section run more smoothly and help everyone with buying and selling.

Thank you

EK9.org

Well, remember this is a technical forum not a local classified ;) But you said it yourself, you only have items to sell, you no longer have an ek9 hence you are the exact type of user we are trying to avoid. Unless of course you still have a passion for all things honda and would continue to be an active member after all your items sell?

I am after a genuine EK9 spoiler, but I cant request one due to being new on the forum. I have already done a deal with kev_ek9 on here for a set of lights, and I am a genuine user.

Can anyone post for me to request a EK9 spoiler? I would appreciate someone doing that for me. Kev if you are reading, could you do it for me.

Ben

You need to build your post count up then untill you can. If your dedicated to the forum it won't take you long. Thats does not mean posting random replies to increase your count. These are the rules and unfortunately it effects the genuine users.

As for getting others to do it, thats up to you and the person your asking but i would advise against that and build your post count up and contribute to the forum.

ADDED

also your required to create your feedback account into the Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum before you begin selling.

UPDATE:

Posting without having 100 posts results in the thread being deleted, if you keep trying to post your item for sale despite this measure you will be temporarily ban(for 6 days), this is starting to take up a lot of my time, i know it seems like a harsh measure but i simply don't have the time to deny the same threads every day (yes people really do this!), if the user can't figure out how to use the forum properly that is there problem.

Rules ammended

ALL THREADS DATED 06/09/2010 ONWARDS WILL BE AFFECTED

When you delete the threads do you PM the seller the original advert?

If other people are anything like me they upload pictures without saving the URL, so if the original message was PM'ed to them with a note on what is wrong it could save them a bit of hassle with uplaoding and writing a description etc.

Just a thought :D

Can't you add in code to automatically prevent posters with less than 100 posts starting new threads?

Other forums seem to manage it ok?

If they need the url they can PM myself or another moderator as we can still access the thread after its deleted.

Hi ijwhiteman, can you contact me asap please by pm and please include an email address please, think RVM spoke to you regarding my issue. Can not PM you because of not enough posts. Thanks

Oh thats why my thread was deleted my bad man, I'll stop with these retard manouvers, and use the template

Changes to the forsale rules added paypal? to the template and EK9.org is not responsible for any items bought or sold that do not meet your expectations. For this we recommend that both the seller and buyer use paypal as a form of protection and to allow disputes to be resolved. Failing that buy and sell at your own risk.
