Although i've done a number of things to the car since i got it a a year or two ago, i've always wanted to strip it done and give the car a good refresh as im ocd! some small plans with the bodywork and performance upgrades but nothing major.

so I finally pulled the finger out, got the car off the road and today stripped the suspension components off the car and started the cleaning process!

How it stands ATM.

Lovely place you got there to work. loads of space.. loving the logs incase those axle stands give way Hehe :p
Great that you are taking this on, this car's deserves it :) LOVE IT !!!

you got 2 front bumpers dude ?

Would love to respray my 9 in black at some point...

Give me your garage! Now you have the chance make sure the arches are super protected, if it was me I'd run a line of Tigerseal down the inside of the rear of the arch and down to the sills where dirt can get trapped and give it a good Dinitrol treatment :)

Great project and love your EK9, black looks very cool

As mentioned would love a workspace as big as that but you have to live in the country to have that sort of space hey

Best of luck with the cleaning and fefurb project.
You've got a good example of an ek9 to start with in the first place.
I'm nearing the end of this process on my 9, only the interior left to do.
Looking forward to see how your project turns out.

How come you have the stuff in the bucket wrapped in cling film.
Look forward to some goods guides as you progress

Great place to work mate, ive got to do my work in Fritzl's cellar!

Lovely car, should be sweet when done.

Looks good bud.

Wish I had a place like that I could work on my car :nice:

Awesome, Good to watch a good re-fresh through the stages! Look forward to seeing more progress with this! :nice:

Nice work mate, Doing the same with my car at the moment looks like you got a nicer place to work though.
Lots of work but will be worth it in the end when everything is re done and like new.

Yea the logs add a big of insurance when your under the car, No thats the front and rear bumpers! lol Going to get the front one resprayed as its stone chipped to hell!

I've already treated the inner arches to waxoil but going to take the time now and seal everything up properly!

wow love your little work area! spot on mate!

Cheers lad, Its alot better than working on the street thats for sure.

Cheers, Yea there are some benefits to living in the country! lol

Its de-oxi gel, brilliant stuff. Lifts rust and dirt right off the metal, all the suspension will get coated in it before its repainted! :))

Cheers, This is going to be a long process but should be worth it in the end! :)

Never got under the tank treated with waxoil so thats going to get sorted now, as well as a few other bits round the suspension. underside is in pretty good condition with only a bit of light rust in around the rear chassis.

Keeping the production line of cleaning going. Treating all the arms and suspension components to remove all the rust and leave them ready to paint up!

Forgot to take a picture of the brakes that where taken out but one of the front pads fell in two peices once removed from the carrier! EBC be wary!

Workspace is key in my mind, very nice buddy!
Good luck with your referb!

Absolutely great work man! Love the extent of this! Look forward to maybe see this sometime over summer if you have it finished!
