Took a trip to Demon Tweeks today, just got the answers i needed by planting my bum on the seats, had all the seats on my short list and more so i tried all of them!
Conclusion is:
Recaro Pole Position - great shoulder support but mid section support is slightly wide so i couldnt feel that part contacting my body
Sparco Pro 2000 - mega lumbar and mid section support, shame my shoulders aren't wide enough, the shoulder supports are about an inch too far away either side.
Sparco Evo (regular) - shoulder and mid sections in the right place, hugs like a Recaro SPG, very similar.
Corbeau Pro Series - pure and simply too big.
Sparco Rev+ - probably best for someone in the 5ft 6-7 range as the harness holes nearly disappeared behind my back and the seat is a bit shallow, but the side support was great albeit a bit less padded than the others
Other surprises were the Sparco Corsa and the Cobra Suzuka Pro - very nice quality hugging bucket seats.
Conclusion - going with the Sparco Evo
