Regrettably i'm selling my EK. My insurance has just run out and i'm looking to move onto another Honda over winter for next year!
Owned since November 2011, I bought the car on 58k miles. Since purchasing it the following has been carried out by Andrew Baird @ Automek, he can vouch for how good an example it is, especially for a UK model:
OEM Front brake discs/calipers/pads
OEM Front wheel bearings (both sides)
OEM Droplinks
OEM Track rod ends
OEM RTA bushes
Cambelt replaced
New Sparkplugs
ITR shifter & linkages (polybushed)
Modifications include:
16x7 Desmond Regamaster Evo wheels (unsure of ET, possibly 40ish?)
TOYO Proxes 205/45/16, plenty tread.
Neo Chrome Muteki Wheel nuts
OEM SiR Grill - colour coded by Imy @ IA Bodyshop
SiR Replica front lip
D2 Coilovers
Gen 1 Spoon N1, both angled and mated to a custom 2.5" b-pipe by Billy @ CAS (runs straight off manifold, no silencers - pops, bangs, goes nuts on the over-run)
Weighted Neo Chrome BLOX gear knob
AEM Short-RAM intake
De-wipered
13x6.5 plates
Interior is completely standard
Bad Points are mainly common ones:
- Front bumper has quite a few stone chips, it get's used daily so it's never really bothered me.
- Rear arches have started bubbling at the usual spots (at rear bumper & lower arch) it's by no means the worst i've ever seen, but could do with some attention.
- I think the rear passenger side light leaks slightly, noticed water in the boot once or twice, but not all the time. I've got replacement gaskets just not got round to fitting them.
- Electric windows go up pretty slowly, sometimes like to stick when it's cold.
It gets serviced at least twice annually (oil/filter), and is rarely more than 5000 miles between services, this is also carried out by Automek, and the service book is stamped up to prove. Car passed last MOT with no advisories. Paint look great when washed/polished. It wants for nothing at the moment, and if I wasn't getting such good insurance quotes for an S2000 i'd definitely be keeping it a while longer.
