Trailing Arm Bushing Thoughts

52385-SR3-000

Worked perfect for me.

Just a note when fitting. Don't press in the bush too far and make sure the LWR mark is perpendicular to the trailing arm.

I really couldn't mark the previous bush as it was fitted incorrectly and split to shreds.

Tread revival.

I'm trying to find genuine oem rear trailing arm bushes for a '98 ek9.
I'm very confused with the correct part number as im aware it's 52385-SR3-000.
However on tegiwa it's stating 52385-ST3-G0,
Hendy is 52385-ST3-G01 and other companies are giving me a bunch of different numbers.
Can anyone advise me on where to buy from and that i will receive the correct parts.

Thanks in advance

I bought some trailing arm bushes awhile back for my EJ9. Apparently its the same part number for EK9's. I'll check for you now.

EDIT: 52385-SR3-000

My local dealer, who happens to be a car enthusiast, confirmed it.

Thanks for you're reply im aware of the correct part number but every online company including tegiwa jp4mance hendy are all stating a different number. My concern is they will send me the wrong parts. I have no idea where to correctly buy from.

I got mine from a dealership. Since the guy working there was a car enthusiast, he offered 15% off.

I bought my OEM DC2 ones from Cox motorparts (OEM Honda), for a DC2 Type-R. I know the fitment is the same 88-00, but your right there are different part number as the rubber form differs from car to car. The aerodeck for example is a fair bit more solid. I wanted mine to be the same part as the car left the factory with.

This is a good thread, Note part nos.

The blueprint rta are a good shout about bit stiffer than OEM but had to beat for the price

Trailing arm bushes and why they failing pre-maturely on our lowered vehicles.. next time you get these fitted ask them to centre it for a lowered vehicle

S_0636.jpg

Above: the mounting points of the bush is centered with the arm (stock height )

S_0637.jpg

Above: facing downward to accomodate the vehicle being lowered.

so if you dont do this you could have a constant pre-load twist.

just something to remember idea

I ordered mine from Honda last month with my VIN number -
52385-ST3-G01

I just got a set of hard race rtas. Are they much stiffer than oem. And if so are they really that badly rated

They are a fair bit stiffer than oem, I wouldn't say they where very bad for the handling tbh.
Depends what your after from the car and how you like it to handle. Personally I'm not that keen on a lively rear end and would prefer to use the oem ones. BUT... My car came with hardrace rta and I can't say I don't like it.

I've spoken to the Luke @ Tegiwa and also Shaun @ SWMotorsport and they were both very impressed with them, so really excited to see how they go. Maybe more track orientated but they are a stunning bit of kit

Yeah I get what your saying. Personally I prefer to get reviews from someone who doesn't sell them you know?

Get onto Simon at Hendy performance, he'll make sure you get the right ek9 part number.
