Colby's EK9

Very nice 9, the white volks were really nice. The bronze volks r gonna set this off! Nice mods on this. Like to see Wat power u make with those mods...
Cheers man, yeah i've always liked them, even the EK9 I had on gran turismo as a kid had them on back in the day too :p no idea power wise as its not been on the rollers since I've had it. I'd like to see 190 ish once its got everything fitted and mapped... Still got a 68mm throttle body, skunk inlet and a mugen cold air intake to get on first. Not really chasing big figures, just want it to be more driveable in the low-mid range. 16b's are pretty savage up top anyway... Just lack a bit of torque is all:))

Such a tidy 9  glad to see its sitting proper and not on the floor!

Thanks man, its not looking so tidy at the moment, its f**king filthy hah, hoping to get a nice day on the weekend to wash, polish and might even try a coat of wax if its not too cold

Yeah tbh the front still needs to come up a little bit... function > form all day... nothing clever about 'laying frame' haha enough homos out there into that shite as it is :slap:

Needing a good wash aside the overall look is great ;) mine needs a wash too, either busy or weather decides otherwise haha

Oh yeah Function all day, I'll be going a little lower to close the gap at the rear but only a few mm.. Too many 'stanced' cars out there Hondas especially

Thanks man, appreciate the kind words!
Cant wait to get some fresh tyres on the new 37's and get it back out in track again.

Yeah bro, I can appreciate some people are into that and in some cases it does look cool but i'd rather turn heads lapping good times on track (or private roads and runways ) than by scraping down the road, destroying my arches lol

No problem mate. Can't wait to see it on the other TE37's as well, will beef it out even more!

Yeah each to their own but I'd rather have fun with a car driving it hard than scraping the hell out of it everywhere haha

Been a while without an update so here we go...
Tracking was worse than I thought and went through the toyos quite quick on the inside edge, so went back to the rays up front after getting the tracking done...

Finally managed to get round to fitting some bits, Skunk2 pro series inlet in black with a Skunk2 68mm throttle body, mugen cold air induction then changed the oil and plugs before it went off to Romain for mapping :)

Not too bad for a 1.6 n/a :)) Romain also said it was one of the healthiest B16B's he had mapped in recent times, which was a pleasant relief as he had explained to me previously on the phone that when they are not looked after and driven on the limit you can struggle to make standard power even with all mods and a good map. The vtec now kicks in at 4,000rpm if you are more than 50% on the throttle which makes it so much more drive-able at slower speeds and helps it massively in the mid range too. Had a good blast home and even though I was giving it some abuse it still used less petrol than on the way up! I really can't recommend Romain highly enough, such a nice guy to deal with and a genuine enthusiast who will give you honest advice - as well as being a total wizard when it comes to fine tuning, some places you can go for mapping you are lucky to be on the rollers for 30 mins, get charged the world and end up with a copy and paste 'mirror map'. Mine was on there for the best part of 2 and a half hours and overall could not be more impressed with what I got considering what it all cost .

205.9 bhp, 130 ft lbs and a 9,200 rpm redline  I'll try and get a few videos up when I get them off my old iphone.

2 days ago I put the new wheels on, staggered fitment TE37's 7.0j on the rear and 7.5j up front, with 205/195 yokohama AD08's all round, really happy with how it looks, just need to sort out the ride height and dampening rates as ideally i'd rather not roll the arches if I can avoid it.

Still got to fit my Wilwoods, braided lines, toda manifold and the spoon rad cap I picked up today so hopefully might get some time in the week. Then I just need to get out and make the most of it before the nights get dark and things gets cold!

Can't believe it was 2016 the last time I updated this...

...where does the time go?

Petes Meet #1.jpg

FullSizeRender.jpg

Its changed a bit since way back, mostly because the old one ended up in a hedge and I had to re-shell it / move everything onto a 98 facelift that came up for sale the week after it all happened :angry2:

Now I've stopped crying about it I really need to get all my pics together of the swap and a few bits that have gone on since to update this properly, then hopefully by the end of next month i'll have another big update that has been waiting in the wings since last summer!

Hope everyone is well :)
