Hey guys

Been quiet for a little while, unfortunately haven't been able to spend a lot of money on the car lately. However I did notice a while back my rear LCA bushings were a little beat.

I decided instead of having them pressed out, and purchasing new bushings I would freshen up the rear end a bit and get new LCAs.

There's a few options I was interested in going with but I'm on a bit of a budget... The contenders were:
  • BWR Rear LCAs - bit iffy on these ones, they seem to have really, really mixed reviews.
  • Hardrace - I don't think you can ever really go wrong with hardrace... the quality and bang for buck seems to be up there with the best of them
  • ASR - a bit more expensive but really shiny. Currently have the ASR subframe and sway bar and generally very pleased with their products. Not sure if it's worth the premium though.
All will be rubber bushing LCAs, no pillow ball or spherical bearings.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Bwr lcas on mine, look the part and no issues at all but that's just me

Have BWR myself, didnt have an issue until I went backwards into an island and popped the bushes out, not fully out but slightly out, still drove on them like that for about a year haah but now replacing them with MPC drop LCAs.

Avoid Skunk2 at all costs unless you buy from a reputable company and get the new design to save yourself getting scammed out of a fake pair.

Ive always liked the look of function 7 lca's pictured above, ive a genuine set of skunk2's on mine and can't fault them the ones you suggested are decent it's down to personal preference and budget I guess, make sure you grease the bushings before installation otherwise they'll squeak a lot.

I've got d2 LCA's that have been on the car since I bought it and the bushes in them are still going strong. They don't look bad when you wipe the grime off either!

I've heard either really good reviews with BWR or really bad, there doesn't seem to be an in between review I've read. They look really cool but I'm a bit iffy... they are fairly budget friendly though.

Skunk 2 I'd definitely buy from a reputable vendor, there's a couple that I would trust locally. Worst case Tegiwa is always available too and I've purchased from them before so I'm fairly happy with them. Shipping is just a bit expensive to Australia.

The function 7s are gorgeous, bit expensive for me though unfortunately.

Haven't ever head of D2. Will have a squiz.

h-tune are better on price than tegiwa everytime but not sure if they ship worldwide but then again I've never checked.

h-tune over tegiwa any day

i'd re-bush the oem arms with hardrace, unless you're after scene points

Never heard of h tune. Will look at their website, thanks boys.

I was thinking if rebushing, I figured it might end up costing the same as new LCAs though by the time I pay someone to remove them, press the old ones out and re install... So may as well refresh. Also the old LCAs would be 20 years old now so maybe it's a good idea?

Definitely not looking for any scene points, just has to be beneficial for the track

Edit - looks like they do ship worldwide

Another vote for H-Tune here, their prices are not massively different, sometimes even slightly more expensive than Tegiwa but from my experience they are much nicer to deal with.
