Civic EG, Supra, Soarer
Hi!

I've always been a Toyota fan and over the years I've tasted many of the wonderful flavours they come in. I've currently settled for a Supra and a Soarer but the dark side of me has always longed for a Honda.

After submitting to the darkness, hell was unleashed on my driveway in the form of two Civic EGs bought within hours of each other. I do apologise then that neither of my Hondas are EK9s but this forum seems to be an active and friendly place for a fellow enthusiast to learn.

So one of the EGs is an LSI auto which is bone stock and has 33k miles. The other also started off life as an LSI however it's had a K20A2 conversion done from a '05 CTR. The plan is to swap the K20 into the low mileage shell.

I don't get much time these days but hopefully I will be creating a build thread to express my experiences with this new chapter in my car ownership.

I look forward to being a part of the forum.

Thanks for reading.

Samin.

Hi Samin and welcome. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Anything wrong with the K20 converted EG?

Hey Mat, nothing is wrong with the car mechanical wise, however it does sound a bit noisy top end but i'm hoping it's the valve clearances that need doing as its coming to that mileage. The bodywork of the car is really poor with plenty of rust and almost every panel having a major dent or scratch but the previous owner didn't care as he was planning to use it as a drag car. At one point it's done a 12.9 second pass at Shakespeare county raceway on street tyres.

I see now so the shell is rough as toast then, any pictures and spec?
