Hi guys,

mine of my front door speakers is blown and sounds awful even with minimal sound coming through. seen a few posts on here about modifying and cutting door cards for new upgrades but I’d rather not do this and get some that are the same size. Anyone recommend some of these?

TIA

You should try to find max mounting depth and then see what after market speaker fits. Diameter is mostly one of the standard sizes on cars so if you can find the mounting depth then you can choose a nice set of speakers. Usually mounting depth is limited by the window of your door. A set of coaxial speakers would be simplest.

Thank you, I managed to get some alpine ones that fit nicely :)

I just installed a beautifully sound POLK AUDIO speakers in the front of my car. I love it so much. You don't have to grind the door panel itself at all. The speakers are very large and just barely fits. It's such a high quality speaker too, you will not regret it; trust me! The model I have is DB6501. I used to have manual side mirror adjust with a crank. I ordered a inner door sail panel from an EK that had OEM tweeters. I cut the old stock tweeters out and mounted the Polk Audio tweeters from the kit into it. It looks so OEM and sounds absolutely amazing! I'll show you a picture...

I'd love to have tweeters in mine, however the amount of times I have broken the clip on the door plastic, I can't bring myself to do it. Will just get some decent coaxial speakers instead.

You can buy aftermarket new tab replacements! I bought a box that came with assortments of so many different tab types for only $12. It was so worth it because you can use on different cars and panels too.
