Trying to restore a 1997 EK9 to its former self

Hi, may I ask what was causing the leak for the water in passenger footwell? Very interesting thread. I bought my Ek9 just after I turned 18 and have it 12 years. I will never sell it and its great to see what you are doing with yours. (I just drive mine a day at the weekend now).

Honestly no idea. I originally thought it was the windscreen seal, then the window seal on the door, then the seam sealer on the bulkhead. Still not fixed it. Need to take the dash out to double check the seam sealer for access, but also heard there is a drain in the front wing that can cause it as well.

Small update. Whilst being forced to isolate, I decided to look into the rear fog light wiring, seen as though it didn't work. MOT was due in a couple months so didn't fancy rushing about closer to the time.

What a mess. Don't have any photos of it, but it was twisted wires, about 8 different wires joined to the rear and just a general mess.

I have only got photos of my bodge to get the light to work and the switch to light up, i'll take some photos of the tidied up result when I get around to it.

Love this build. Makes me miss my Ek9 so much. I always dreamed of having a prefacelift in CSW but mine was VSM!

This is my first post on here in probably 8/9 years

Your build thread of the reshell and the work with Si is one of my all time favourites!

Could be the plastic roof strip water getting underneath, pretty sure my 1st ek9 years ago was leaking from same area.
