Mugen Twin Loop does the job for me, I have had several cat backs before, Invidia GT, HKS silent, 5Zigen Pro Racer, Spoon N1 & Street type and the Mugen was the best I had and I still use today, not only from a performance point view but for its design and quality + it sounds good. Never tested...

VTEC eat up oil that's a fact, but the quantity your suggesting seems a lot to me, I owned an EG6 with 300000+kms on the clock, blue fumes + oil eating, but I didn't have to fill more then 0.3L every 1500kms, and she was daily driven + VTEC whenever possible... It's best you get her overhauled...
