hi guys i have an issue with my TB i always have to put some oil inside the throttle to grease it becase inside the town when i drive when i pressed the pedal to unstuck it the car starts sudden and i hit my head on the recaro seat and the plastic of the seat gives me headache :D every week i vae to grease it while the last 2 years was only 1 time per year :/ i dont know if this affects that the fumes of the valve cap i have released them outside and not inside back to the induction but my mechanic says that it only gives fumes and it will not grease it , any ideas?

Ive found alot of aftermarket throttles stick. Is it standard or aftermarket?

I would say check your tension on your throttle cable and check the grub screws for the butterfly valve as once I had a loose screw(70mm blox) and because there was a 0-4 mm play the natural vacuum of the engine would suck the butterfly valve shut at part throttle(cruising), I thought it was stuck or it was an electrical problem but was so glad when I found the problem, I solved it by binning off the blox and going for a skunk2

its skunk 2 alpha series 70 mm the cable is ok it always happens that the buterfly lever is getting dry quickly :/ i ll try something with the screw and we ll see

I've been told they are notorious for sticking, ive got a 68mm pro series and mine will stick open between 1.5-3k sometimes. Such a PITA when you're coming to a stop and have to blip the throttle as people look at you as if you're doing it for the attention!

I don't know if its a vacuum problem but if you leave it where its stuck and kill the engine it snaps closed as soon as it stops. Been told to get a stiffer spring, play with the idle, cable tension etc and nothing seems to work but I'm fairly sure its not a mechanical issue.

yeah my engineer tells me the same thing , that all aftermarket TB suck , only oem that is made from bronze metal are the best , all aftermarket aluminium suck in their behaviour, i cannot find any solution to this problem always stuck at 1200- 3500 in various rpm and i have to press the pedal a little at the red light to drop in normal idle :/

hello guys again, have some issue with this TB the last year , sometimes when i release the gas pedal it continues having rpm so my car runs like hell and i release gear and i press the pedal and then it unstucks , last night i open the hood and i checked and it was stucked open , and i touched and then it was ok , it was not by the trotthle cable ,it was by the TB , so what can i do ? all this times i was puting lub oil inside the axle of the TB could it be also the spring outside that does not put back the butterfly ? can i do something
