Hi all, what tyres are people using on the OEM wheels? I’m looking for something that’ll be great on the road and also usable on track in the wet eventually.

Has anyone had experience with the 195/50/15 Pilot Sport 3s as this seemed like an obvious choice?

Thanks everyone!

Found Yokohama AD08RS to be the best for that exact use case, great in the wet, amazing in the dry and very adequate for track usage too.
Although 195/55/15 is the correct size tyre to be used on the EK9 factory wheels.

As above, the original tyre size is 195/55/15 and looks better imho. The EK9 was originally fitted with Bridgestone Potenzas and I find them to be an excellent all round tyre.

Yeah agreed, 195/50 that i see a lot of people use looks like an elastic band.
And from what ive read the Re010 that they had from factory were excellent tyres back in the day!

i use 195/55/15 in toyo R1R 7 years now , it never dissapointed me in daily or truck <3

So the general consensus is to use a 195/55 because it looks better? The image below is on Pilot Sport 3s in 195/50/15 and looks more than good in my opinion

195/55 just fills the arch better. Also its the size honda designed the car to work on, sticker in the door jamb says 195/55 so thats what i use. Smaller and your speedo starts getting out of whack etc.
Mine had 50s when i bought it and drives much nicer in the 55s now

195/55/15‘s look better at standard ride heigh. In my opinion of course
the pic two posts above, the car is lowered thats why the smaller profile still looks good

Aasuming you mean the pic in the reply by Jamie and not me lol

Okay, I’ll look at the 195/55 AD08RS as it isn’t too expensive either. Thanks chaps

The RS isn't as good a compound as the old R. Recently put them on mine and take forever to warm up and grip but somewhat alright once they have heat into them.

Not really many alternatives, only one is the NS2R really?

was checking the 195/55 AD08R in the yokohama site dealer and i see that the only dimension that is availaible for 15'' is only 205/15, whats going on ?

Not sure why it would say that. Are you looking at the old AD08R rather than the RS? I’ve got a page saved for when I buy m AD08RS at a good price.
