The ultimate EK9 parts number list

Exhaust manifold heat shield/cover? Front half: 18120-PCT-000 or 18120-P30-J01, both are discontinued. Back half: 18121-P30-000 (available) or 18121-P73-A00 (discontinued). P.S. jp-carparts.com is a great resource for parts and part numbers as well. Shipping from Japan is usually expensive for...

Yeah parts prices are WAY up in recent years, as are vehicle prices. Looking around I'd imagine that you could find them for less, especially used. ICB just had good pics.

Great that it's a real EK9! And glad that you were able to find authentic seats nearby as well. As for the headlights, CTR headlights have the gunmetal (black chrome/tinted) inner housing, city light, clear corner with no amber, and no bulb diffuser. Yours look to have the standard (EK3/4/EJ)...

You're welcome. And while it is possible that it had an accident it was also quite common to "upgrade" to the facelift front end too so it may have just been that. It looks to be missing the front lip (same as an Si lip here in the States), and the CTR headlights as well. It's difficult to tell...

Welcome, and congrats! You will find this forum to be quite welcoming and informative. It is truly a great community, and a great asset and resource as well. There are a few EK9s within the States that have been here for a while. I knew of at least four from back in 2010-2015. I've been out of...

    My EK9.... take 2

I appreciate the reply and detailed information. Subjective of course but great to hear. I actually prefer the more "refined" systems like that. My Rs*R is definitely within that group as well. It still sounds great but is unfortunately looking a bit worse for wear. Btw, I'm also running the...

    My EK9.... take 2

I'll be curious as to how you like the sound of the street back system. Obviously it will be quite the difference from the N1 but how about compared to other "normal" street systems? Supposedly it's one of the quietest and better sounding options. I've thought of replacing my old and kind of...

1999 Honda Civic lx d16y8 swap

Just an FYI... this forum is based in Europe and mainly for the JDM EK9 Civic Type R, with a few other Honda Type R vehicles... none of which came with D series engines. honda-tech.com would be a much better forum to ask this question in, especially if you're in the US and it's regarding a USDM...

Ek9 Seat belt tensioner working very slow

Spikeyhairdude and Dzero4 that's interesting... but seems to be true unfortunately. The warranty manuals that that I've seen don't specify but are from USDM Hondas. Searching online I found other general Honda warranty manuals but they do specify "US models" pertaining to the seat belt warranty...

Ek9 Seat belt tensioner working very slow

Also, just an FYI, Honda seat belts are lifetime warranty so you should be able to get them replaced for free at the dealership if need be. The belts in my former '96 USDM hatch got really bad over time to the point of not fully retracting and getting caught in the door just like yours. I had...

Small progress is still good. Nice to know that you're keeping at it. They always seem to take longer than we plan or want them to.
