I don't know about heat soak but the air movement during off idle is able to maintain a cooler intake air. Temp outside for me is 30-32, intake temperature in heavy traffic ~ 40 max, when it's moving drop to 33-35, then when you are going at some speed it is atmos temp...so much better than >50...

Just get a custom made one with stainless or aluminium tube 3" in diameter. Join them with silicone hoses. My intake was done like this with a BPI funnel with a big K&N...dyno tested to be far better than any short ram, OEMboxes or anything like that. It cost be around 50 quid to get the pipes...

I had Motul 300V 5W40 running for a little over 10000Km - it still sound smooth as silk - it was more of a mental thing so I changed it anyway to Redline 5W40.... In the UOA I have seen Redline holds up better in extended drains... ________ Head shop
