From the sounds of it you will be fine with type r or ctr. I have type r cams and I had no problem hitting 500whp with alot of room left in it.

I also am running a synapse a/c kit with ice cold a/c even on 100 degree days. I have a garret gtx30r on my set up

I have had good friends make almost 500whp on a stock 160,000 mile gsr engine. Any thing under 400whp you will be fine with stock internals. For 400-600 a piston/rod/studs combo is all thats really needed unless you want to go crazy and go sleeved like which I have.

Yea the car is much more daily friendly with the air to water set up. Their is no restriction to the radiator or a/c condenser so it always runs nice and cool.
