    boost? or kswap?

my k20 teg with cams and a few other bits and bobs, street tuned by me, is better on fuel than any of the 10 or so b series cars i have owned. i think the vtc and 6th gear really help on the economy. there are plenty of people on clubrsx with supercharged, turbo, an n/a dc5's with mpg in the...

    Hydro to Cable

there is a conversion kit you can get from the US, i think basically a cable from your pedal hooks up to a master cylinder which hooks up to the box. have an ask on an ef civic/crx site as they also have cable as standard and like fitting s80 boxes

the 32mm and 36mm refers to the size of socket used on the nut on the end of the shaft. USDM shafts take take the 32mm nut and JDM the 36mm one if your shafts fit both sets and aren't loose then they must be both usdm or both jdm

Will EK9's depreciate even further over the next few years?

see these 60-70 year old guys driving about on summers days in 60's sports cars......well in 30-40-50 years that's gonna be us lot....and were gonna want the cars that excited us when we were younger. not only is the ek9 one of the rarest honda's, it's also one of the most highly regarded...

    Mugen rnr's, what to do?

Do them yourself mate, sand them down with a bit of wet and dry....get a pack of playing cards wedged all the way round the rim, then just paint them with a spray can, lots of light coats....if you spend 15 mins prepping each wheel they will look fine....if you spend all day on the set you could...

Car pulls to left under acceleration

the front lca bushes is probably where you should start looking...... as you accelerate, the wheel trys to pull forward and puts a sideways force on the large bush at the back of the lca. There is a movement, even in a new car (the reason you always drive forwards before doing a wheel alignment)...

    Aftermarket LSD - which oil?

road use i rekon you can do 6k between changes no probs.....and like i said before, i heard if you leave the old oil to settle in a container somewhere, all the particles, which are mainly bits of friction of friction plate, are heavier than the oil, and will sink to the bottom over time, making...

    Aftermarket LSD - which oil?

i am not a gearbox expert. I have dealt with plate LSD's 3 times in my life, i'll list my 3 experiences below. Fitted an SR20DET to a fwd nissan sunny, bought a box out of an ex rally almera with cusco plate diff. built car up, filled gearbox with whatever was recommended for the standard...

    Aftermarket LSD - which oil?

i have a spoon plate lsd, with honda mtf it's awful, noisy and you can just feel it wearing it out every time you turn......now with royal purple oil in the LSD is perfect but the gear oil needs to warm up before the synchro's work properly. i have seen amsoil highly recommended, and also gm...

    K20/b18

It does cost more than it should really to do a kswap, especially in the uk, it's a shame really, but wont be too long before tegiwa or somebody start producing mounts etc to make it a lot cheaper....the price of engines has already dropped and will continue to do so as the cars get older, also...

    K20/b18

i started responding but bah, i've said all i need to. I think in the drag racing scene the b series still have the fastest cars, but the k's are getting quicker and quicker all the time....i've seen 822whp on stock sleeves with a k tho, so with a k, you are never going to need more than...

    ek9 and vxr

bhp is a measure of total 'volume' of torque aplied per minute...........If you think of torque as the size of an explosion, rpm as an amount of explosions that happen in a certain amount of time. then bhp is the total damage that these explosions create. then you can see why bhp is more...

i bet the best ek9's go for more than the bottom end jdm ep3r, same as the best dc2's go for more than the bottom end dc5's....it all comes down to what a person prefers.....I'm willing to bet that in 20+ years time dc2's and ek9's will be worth more than dc5/ep3's "Who would pay 8k for...
