Facelift loom is wat you need along with ecu, if its a b16b facelift ecu you need keys etc due to immobilser, if not then a obd1 conversion harness and a socketed obd1 ecu mates up to your facelift vtec loom
Yea imported in 2008 built 1996 got everything, aair con leccy windows vw cd changer, abs, airbags, central locking, full japanese and english history, 88k on clock, even got original vw handbook in japanese!! Will be for sale soon ��
Iv just fixed exact same problem on my car it was the wire between coolant sensor under vtec solenoid and the ecu, coolant temp was surging so ecu was unsure of temp until properly warm, i ran new wire and good as new!!

Plugs my ethos in to car tonight and was watching live data whilst driving and coolant temp was surging between 30 and 60 degreess ish, think im on to something??
I have a ej9 with a b16a ( from del sor sir )with p30 ecu and my problem is i start from cold, drive for as long as i want and i will never get vtec even when up to running temp but if i then stop, turn off engine and restart, vtec works as should for rest of journey!
I have no fault codes, oil...
Thats what i got but i duno where most of the plugs go, they seem to fit in more than one place, eg tps and map have the same plug! As well as many others
