you can use one from DC2. Done many conversions using DC2 as donors and they fit fine on EK/EJ. The only one you can't use are Del Sol linkages because they are longer.

MB chassis share the same style engine loom as EG and DC chassis. The engine loom plugs to the car loom from plugs located on both front shock towers. EK chassis has a different layout engine loom, it goes under the battery and plugs directly to the ecu.

you cant use your d14a4 loom. they have different plugs on the ECU end. similar to obd1 ecu plugs but different.

If you buy an OBD2 vti loom, you still need to change few plugs. Distributor plug, injectors plugs and alternator plugs are different from OBD1 to OBD2

Which civic are you buying? does it have a B series or D series? If you buy an EK4 with factory B16 its very simple to do the conversion. But if you are buying a D series engined civic, JamieMathieson post is spot on.

If its a 1998, its a pre facelift model. All you have to do is buy an EK4 B16 obd2a engine wiring loom.
