i use re-01r's and falken azenis for my street tires. they give GREAT confidence.

oh really? i'll keep that in mind. this is my frirst set of any r compound. i had a super sweet deal since they are spec miata tires, so they were super cheap. i'll try out some of the other ones once these are gone.

i used toyo ra-1 in the front and azenis 615 in the rear. my spring rates are roughly 500lbs in the front and 600lbs in the rear. those spring rates felt soft for the track, but my car is a street car and not a full on dedicated track car, so i need to keep them soft for passengers and daily...

personally, i kinda like it :) may not be as fast as i could be with all 4 r compounds on, but then again, i only had a pair at the time and i kinda like how the back broke loose when i wanted it to. of course, like i said, the lap times weren't all that fast though...but fun :) i didn't spin...
