Big Heatsinks good. Color difference from fenders to doors, well that is dirt, fenders & spoon bumper covers clean, everything else dirty as fu(k. Wing going back on soon---in time for Buttonwillow Raceway. Supercharger maybe next...still liking the LS3 conversion.

You are on the right track now!!! Clean clean and clean more to try and flush anything that might be left. Hats off to you and good luck with getting up and running again. I open most all of my filters...im just weird like that.

You have it reversed. Good news that the filter stopped metal. It should not be on the inside.

Just giving some advice above. Hope it helps. Worst case without opening the filters up is that you install a new oil pump and it fails again. Not a big deal.

Once you cut one open, be sure to note which side of the filter paper the metal is on, only on one side is good, on both not good.

If there was enough metal to damage the oil pump, metal would have a better change to get to the filter. If it gets to the filter did it clog it up enough to use the oil bypass within the filter and start dumping oil with metal into the engine. If it did, then metal could make it up to the oil...

I would feel the need to open up the oil filter, but thats just me.

Use the correct pickup for the pan that you are using.
