i was wondering what brand or type of suspension matches the ek9 feel of daily use and occasional track. i tried comparing the spring rates of the ek9 with others but i always find other brands to be to stiff upfront and the rear not being progressive like the ek9 suspension. the only reason why...

chassis rigidity is in favor of the ek but that is easier to improve on an usdm or jdm eg6. Through another thread on this forum I found out that to weight difference bewteen the jdm eg6 and ek9 is about 20 some odd lbs

But the usdm eg hatch weights less then the jdm eg6 and the ek9. That's weird right? I mean would the usdm eg out run the jdm eg6 n ek9 because the usdm hatch cx model is about 2000lbs I mean if the usdm eg is lighter then this would b a better choice for the track then a jdm eg6. On the...

So the lightes jdm eg6 weights the same as the ek9. I can see why ppl say the ek9 is better buy the usdm eg6 also know as the eh2 is lighter then both, right?

Really sorry I always thought. The eh2 usdm eg cx weighted as much as the eg6 jdm. Wow so the eh2 is lighter then the jdm one.

i know this is a old thread but i didnt think it would be smart to start another. do you guys really believe that if the ek9 had the same motor it would be a different story? i mean yes the ek9 handles corners better but it also weights about 300lbs more then the eg6. the EG6 has better power...

something came to my mind just yesterday...do you guys think some of the EK9's handling characteristics is in the USDM EK's...like the cx or dx? could it be possible to build a USDM EK to be in par with a EK9?

i noticed some people here do engine swaps to there real EK9 but im curious if people go as far doing a k20 swap to it? would putting back the B16 be different after a k20 was in there? Would the value of the EK9 hold after or with a swap?

i just read this and wanted so input from you guys. Is this true because this would be the second best FWD...number owned by the EK9 of course... The '88 CRX also has a different rear suspension than any other CRX. Honda's unique sort-of-double-wishbone, sort-of-trailing-arm rear...

so what your saying is no matter what you do to a EF8 or EG6 (reinforce the chassis to be more ridged,etc) it well never be as good as any type r thats modified the same way?

I found out that in Britain (the track called Castle Combe) the GTI MKII 8V engine ran a 1:23.9 (pre 1999) and that the FD2 ran a 1:24.6 (wet). Does this look right? Is the MK II chassis that good? in case those who didnt know this is what came up when i tryed to look up the track
